How to layer your bracelet stack

Our quiet rules for stacking gold, silver and gemstone — and how to build one that grows with you.

A good stack is a small autobiography. It grows a piece at a time and tells the story of the seasons you've moved through — the trip where you found the turquoise, the milestone that brought the rose quartz, the year you needed the amethyst.

Start with an anchor — usually one piece with a stronger metal presence, like a gold bracelet or a silver chain bracelet. Build outward from there so the eye has somewhere to land.

Mix textures deliberately. Smooth beads, faceted stones, macramé cord, delicate chain. Contrast is what makes a stack feel considered rather than crowded. A stack of only one texture reads flat.

Don't be afraid to mix metals. Gold and silver together read as intentional when the rest of the stack is calm — a single silver piece against three gold pieces will always look like a choice.

The 6mm gemstone bracelets are our favourite layering base. Small enough to sit under everything else, colourful enough to peek through. Stack three or four in colours that share one common tone.

Give the stones a common thread — one repeated colour, one repeated stone, one repeated intention. That's the quiet rule that ties it all together.

Zodiac pieces, pearl pieces, angel numbers, birthstones — these all belong in a stack because they mean something. A stack that means something is always better than a stack that only looks good.
